Floating Fun: Explore Aruba in an Aqua Donut with Octopus Aruba!

VIEWS

Looking for a truly unique water adventure in Aruba? Say hello to the Aqua Donut — a round, motor-powered floating lounge that’s as fun as it sounds! Thanks to Octopus Aruba, you can now cruise the Caribbean Sea in the island’s very first Aqua Donut, combining comfort, novelty, and ocean bliss all in one.

💡 What is an Aqua Donut?

Imagine your favorite deep-fried treat, but upgraded for the sea — a fiberglass donut-shaped boat with seating for up to 10 people, a center table (that doubles as a cooler for drinks!), cup holders, and a stylish umbrella for shade. It’s not about speed — this vessel is designed for relaxation, allowing you to leisurely float along Aruba’s gorgeous turquoise waters.

🌊 Be the Captain of Your Day

One of the coolest features? You’re the captain! You can operate the Aqua Donut yourself — no license required. Or, if you’d rather sit back and relax, you can have a friendly Octopus Aruba crew member join you.

Want to snorkel? Swim? Just chill with a cold drink? It’s your call. This flexible concept makes it perfect for birthdays, brunches, family days, and spontaneous adventures.

🧺 Bring Your Own or Customize Your Cruise

During our test ride, we brought our own snacks and drinks (yes, there’s room for a cooler!). Octopus Aruba provided ice water and explained that very soon, you’ll be able to pre-order food and drinks online — ready and waiting when you arrive. They’re also working on a brunch-on-the-sea option. Picture this: sunshine, sea breeze, and brunch floating off the coast of Aruba. Pure island magic!

🏖️ Our Day on the Donut

The VisitAruba team had an amazing time! We launched from Palm Beach with the Octopus crew and cruised down the coastline, soaking up the views. Eventually, we dropped anchor near Malmok Beach for a refreshing dip. With just five of us aboard, we had plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy the ride.

Worried about operating the Aqua Donut? Don’t be! None of us were seasoned sailors, but we managed easily — it’s smooth, steady, and beginner-friendly.

🚤 Bonus: Octopus Catamaran Cruises

If donuts aren’t your style (but why wouldn’t they be?), Octopus Aruba also offers catamaran cruises aboard their 41 ft trimaran. With space for up to 30 people and cozy lounges, it’s another fantastic way to sail the sea — ideal for groups, events, or romantic escapes.
