A female driver jailed in Aruba fatal crash case will remain in custody until July 3, 2026, when her case is scheduled to be heard in court.
The woman, identified as C.F.D., appeared in court on April 10, 2026, in connection with a serious accident that occurred on January 4, 2025, along Smith Boulevard near the Renaissance Hotel. She is accused of driving a Jeep at high speed and striking four pedestrians who were crossing the road, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and attempted murder charges involving two others.
According to the prosecution, the female driver jailed in Aruba fatal crash case was driving under multiple violations, including without a valid driver’s license or inspection documents. She was also allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road, at excessive speed, and under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
During the hearing, the defense requested her release and asked for two witnesses to be heard, as well as a psychological evaluation of the accused. However, the prosecutor strongly opposed her release, citing the seriousness of the charges and the loss of two lives.
The judge rejected the defense’s request for release, ordering that the suspect remain detained until the trial date. The court also approved the request to hear two witnesses and ordered a psychological report to assess the condition of the accused.
