Enfoke integral pa comunidad y bienestar di mascota was highlighted during the most recent Accion di Bario in Companashi, where an intergovernmental team once again entered the community to listen, identify needs, and provide concrete solutions.
According to Jaclyn Agunbero from the Ministry of General Affairs, the initiative focuses on bringing multiple disciplines into the neighborhood, listening directly to residents, and forwarding concerns to the relevant departments so that proper assistance can be provided.
“We work for the common good. When we visit neighborhoods, we pay attention, we listen, and we bring the needs to the appropriate institutions that can offer solutions,” Jaclyn explained.
During the activity, residents of Companashi were invited to take advantage of the opportunity to dispose of waste and other materials properly, contributing to improved cleanliness and surroundings.
An important aspect of the day was the participation of Luna Foundation, which addressed issues related to animal and pet welfare in the area. Zoey Conijn, a representative of the foundation, explained that many of the situations they encounter are not necessarily cases of abuse, but rather situations where pet owners need guidance or support.
“Not every case is abuse. Some people are doing their best but need a little help — maybe a dog house, a longer chain, or guidance on proper care,” Zoey shared.
Luna Foundation offered dog registration, advice on responsible pet care, and information on how the community can contact them for further assistance. Residents can reach Luna Foundation via Facebook or by calling 563-6567 for information about sterilization, care, or other support services.
The collaboration between the Ministry and Luna Foundation demonstrates that enfoke integral pa comunidad y bienestar di mascota goes beyond infrastructure and cleanliness, also addressing social well-being and animal protection.
Companashi serves as an example that neighborhoods require continuous attention and that cooperation between government, organizations, and the community is the path toward strengthening the common good in Aruba.
