Aruba received a prestigious visitor on Sunday as Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, arrived aboard the Carnival Vista during her Southern Caribbean tour. Duffy, one of the most influential figures in the cruise industry, made the visit to highlight and strengthen the long-standing partnership between Carnival and Aruba.

She was warmly welcomed at the Oranjestad Cruise Terminal by Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority, and Marc Figaroa, CEO of the Aruba Ports Authority. Both expressed their gratitude for Carnival’s continued contribution to Aruba’s tourism sector and extended the island’s signature hospitality to Duffy and her team.

In her remarks, Duffy expressed appreciation for the warm reception and shared her excitement about being on the island, emphasizing Carnival’s commitment to supporting Aruba as a key cruise destination.

Carnival Cruise Line is set to account for 25% of all cruise ship visits to Aruba in 2025. The Carnival Horizon leads with 26 scheduled visits, bringing around 103,000 passengers, while the Carnival Vista is expected to bring 51,000 passengers across 13 visits.

By 2026, Carnival is projected to bring in 23% of all cruise passengers arriving in Aruba, reinforcing its strong presence on the island. As of June 30, more than 514,000 cruise passengers had already visited Aruba this year, with 910,000 expected by the end of 2025.

Aruba remains focused on strengthening its position in the global cruise market by nurturing partnerships like the one with Carnival and providing memorable, high-quality experiences for all who arrive by sea.
