ORANJESTAD (AAN): On Monday afternoon, a report was received regarding an accident with an injured person on the road leading up to the airport, near Fofoti. Both police and ambulance units were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the ambulance team attended to the chauffeur at the site. The police investigation revealed that the chauffeur lost control of the vehicle after slipping on the road and crashed into a streetlight pole. A public employee, aware of the danger, responsibly stopped their vehicle to alert other drivers to the hazard and helped divert traffic until the authorities arrived.
