Aruba Trains Ecuadorian Travel Agents and Launches Nationwide Sales Contest

The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) Ecuador, in partnership with Castellum Ixchel, has launched an ambitious training and rewards program designed to elevate Aruba’s visibility in the Ecuadorian market. The initiative centers on empowering local travel professionals with the tools, knowledge, and motivation to promote Aruba as a premier Caribbean destination.

Driving Destination Awareness Through Education

In an engaging session held earlier this month, travel agents across Ecuador received in-depth training on Aruba’s tourism offerings, including its pristine beaches, Dutch-Caribbean charm, and diverse travel experiences. The training session also introduced agents to the Aruba Certified Expert (ACE) platform, a cornerstone of ATA’s education and engagement strategy.

The ACE Certification: A Gateway to Expertise

The ACE platform equips travel professionals with:

  • Comprehensive destination insights

  • Sales techniques tailored to the Ecuadorian traveler

  • Entry and visa information updates

  • Promotional resources to support bookings

“The ACE program goes beyond training—it builds confident ambassadors for Aruba,” said Claudia Delgado, ATA Sales Representative for Colombia and Ecuador.

Nationwide Sales Contest Offers Big Rewards

To further energize participation, ATA Ecuador unveiled a national sales contest running from July through December 15, 2025. Travel agents who complete the ACE certification are eligible to compete, with sales performance determining the winners.

🎁 Contest Prizes Include:

  • Top 6 agents: All-inclusive trip to Aruba

  • 7th place: A brand-new electric scooter

This incentive-based program rewards knowledge, performance, and passion—creating a strong foundation for long-term growth in Ecuador’s outbound tourism market.

A Strategic Step Toward Market Expansion

As Ecuadorians increasingly look to the Caribbean for vacation options, Aruba is proactively investing in its travel advisor community. The ACE certification and contest work in tandem to ensure agents are informed, enthusiastic, and equipped to position Aruba as a top destination.

This campaign follows similar success in Brazil and across Latin America, aligning with ATA’s broader efforts to build meaningful, lasting tourism partnerships.

Become an ACE, Sell Aruba, and Win

Through expert-led training, practical tools, and exciting incentives, Aruba is reinforcing its commitment to Ecuadorian travel professionals. For those ready to boost their sales and gain recognition, the time to join the Aruba Certified Expert community is now.
