ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) recently had the privilege of honoring Mrs. Linda Smyth from Medicine Hat, Canada, as an Emerald Ambassador of Aruba. This prestigious honor was presented in recognition of Mrs. Smyth’s 35 years of loyal visits and unwavering love for the island.
A Token of Appreciation for Loyal Visitors
The Emerald Ambassador certification, given on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, is part of a special program that acknowledges guests who have visited Aruba for 10, 20, or 35 consecutive years. Mrs. Smyth’s remarkable loyalty was celebrated in a heartfelt ceremony at the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort Aruba, where she was presented with the certificate and thoughtful gifts.
Reasons for Returning to Aruba
When asked about why she continues to return to Aruba, Mrs. Smyth shared her heartfelt reasons:
-
Aruba’s welcoming people
-
The island’s beautiful beaches
-
The local friends she’s made
-
The non-Aruban friends she’s met throughout her visits
A Heartfelt Thank You from the Aruba Tourism Authority
On behalf of the Aruba Tourism Authority, we extend our sincerest gratitude and appreciation to Mrs. Linda Smyth for choosing Aruba as her home away from home for the past 35 years. We look forward to welcoming her back for many more years of joy, relaxation, and unforgettable memories on the One Happy Island!
