Ten startups from Aruba will head to Atlanta in October for a weeklong mission designed to explore the city’s potential as a gateway into the U.S. market. The trip, hosted by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Atlanta and led by StartAruba, aims to connect Aruba’s entrepreneurs with Atlanta’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.
During their visit, the Aruba-based entrepreneurs will attend the Venture Atlanta conference and participate in workshops and exclusive networking events. The mission represents a significant step in strengthening the ties between Aruba’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and the Southeastern U.S. region, known for its dynamic business communities and innovation hubs.
The initiative offers Aruban founders a unique chance to gain international exposure and create partnerships that could foster economic growth and job creation in Aruba. The mission is supported by various local organizations, including Aruba Bank, Frapa Real Estate, Setar, and Impact Hub Aruba, alongside the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs, and the Primary Sector of Aruba.
This visit builds on efforts to connect the Caribbean with global markets, particularly through the Netherlands’ consulate, which has already worked to connect Black-owned businesses in the U.S. to international markets.
