A 30-person delegation of Aruban youth and adults has traveled to Rome, Italy to participate in Jubilee 2025, a global Catholic celebration held every 25 years.
Delegation member Shavi Danje shared that the trip is not just a vacation, but a meaningful pilgrimage involving prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth. The event runs from July 27 to August 3, with thousands expected to attend, similar in spirit to World Youth Day.
Supported by donations, sponsors, and church leaders, the delegation expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Aruban community. “Thanks to everyone’s help, we’re able to stand here today at the airport, ready for this life-changing journey,” said Shavi.
While in Rome, the group will document their experience through videos and social media content shared on the Hubileo Aruba pages. Upon returning, they plan to inspire and mentor other youth in Aruba through the Catholic faith.
