My Secret to an Affordable Aruba Spring Break? Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba

My Secret to an Affordable Aruba Spring Break? Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba, of course!

Having visited the Caribbean numerous times, I can confidently say that nothing beats Aruba for its vibrant culture, beautiful beaches, and exceptional hospitality. On my most recent trip, I chose to stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort, and it turned out to be the perfect fit for an affordable and memorable vacation.

Why I Love Aruba

Aruba’s charm lies in its mix of cultural influences, making it a unique and welcoming destination. With Dutch as its official language and a rich blend of Portuguese, Spanish, and local Papiamento, the island’s polyglot residents make it easy for everyone to feel at home.

The island’s food scene is another highlight, with a perfect fusion of fresh seafood, Dutch ingredients, and locally-grown produce. And don’t forget the beaches! My personal favorite is Eagle Beach, with its soft, powdery sand and emerald-green waters, consistently ranked among the best in the world.

Embassy Suites Delivers Great Value

While an Aruba getaway can be expensive, Embassy Suites is an excellent option offering great value. Opened in 2023, this resort features 330 rooms and is known for its lively, family-friendly vibe. The centerpiece is a large swimming pool surrounded by sunbeds and palm trees, with upbeat music and an energetic staff adding to the fun atmosphere.

Each room is a spacious two-room suite, complete with a bedroom, living area, and mini-fridge. Families have ample space to spread out, and the private balconies offer Instagram-worthy views of the ocean. The resort is also very welcoming to couples, honeymooners, and families alike.

Unexpected Perks

Embassy Suites offers several extras you wouldn’t typically expect from a budget-minded resort. The bathrooms come with luxurious products like Crabtree and Evelyn body wash and Gilchrist and Soames shampoo and conditioner. They also provide unlimited beach towels with no need for towel cards.

Every morning, guests can take e-bikes to explore Aruba’s car-free bike paths, and the hotel’s supervised kids’ club ensures little ones are entertained while parents relax by the pool.

Inclusive Dining and Drinks

The complimentary breakfast buffet is a major money-saver, with a lavish spread featuring fruits, waffles, breakfast meats, and made-to-order omelets. The resort also offers a daily cocktail reception where guests receive two drink tickets and enjoy savory snacks like Gouda cheese, pretzels, and dried fruit.

Perfect Location

Embassy Suites is ideally located, just across the road from a quiet cove-like beach. While all of Aruba’s beaches are public, this one is less crowded, and the hotel provides lounge chairs and shade for guests. The hotel also features an underground passageway to the beach, making it easy to access without crossing traffic.

A Blend of All-Inclusive and Independent

What sets Embassy Suites apart from an all-inclusive resort is its perfect balance between having meals and activities included while still allowing guests to explore Aruba on their own terms. You’ll enjoy the perks of free breakfast, snacks, and drinks while also having the freedom to venture out and experience the island’s rich culture and local food scene.

Aruba’s Must-Do Activities

While in Aruba, I highly recommend a sunset sail with Red Sail Sports for unbeatable views and drinks. For a unique nature experience, Arikok National Park offers desert flora and the chance to explore Aruba’s rugged beauty. Don’t miss the California Lighthouse for panoramic views of the island, and be sure to dine at Wilhelmina, a charming restaurant set in a lush garden in Oranjestad
