Aruba is set to welcome a new wave of South American visitors as Aerolíneas Argentinas announces its first-ever direct flights to the island. Beginning in the Southern Hemisphere’s summer season, the airline will operate seasonal routes connecting Argentina with Aruba for the very first time.
The new service will include:
- Three weekly flights from Buenos Aires
- One weekly flight from Córdoba
- One weekly flight from Mendoza
- All flights operated with Boeing 737 MAX aircraft
This milestone expands Aruba’s connectivity in South America, giving Argentine travelers direct access to the island’s beaches, culture, and hospitality. Until now, Aerolíneas Argentinas only offered Caribbean flights to destinations such as Cancún and Punta Cana, with Havana served occasionally.
By adding Aruba, the airline strengthens its competitive position against carriers like LATAM, Copa, and Avianca, which route most South American traffic through their hubs. The move also boosts Queen Beatrix International Airport near Oranjestad, which has been steadily growing its network after the pandemic.
With the addition of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aruba’s South American connections will soon include Bogotá, São Paulo, Lima, Medellín, and Paramaribo, making the island an even more attractive hub for regional tourism.
