Aruba Conservation Foundation Enhances Parke Nacional Arikok with Visitor-Focused Upgrades

The Aruba Conservation Foundation (ACF), in collaboration with the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) and the Tourism Product Enhancement Fund (TPEF), is leading a series of improvements at Parke Nacional Arikok aimed at enhancing safety and visitor amenities. These infrastructure upgrades reflect a strong commitment to preserving Aruba’s natural beauty while enriching the overall park experience.

Significant work began in late 2024 at the Vader Piet entrance, including the installation of pavers to reduce dust, construction of a public restroom, and refurbishment of the control booth with new windows, doors, and a fresh coat of paint. While the entrance remains open, visitors are asked to reduce speed and proceed with caution due to ongoing construction, which is scheduled to continue through April 2025.

Further enhancements are underway at popular sites within the park. Railings at Fuente are being upgraded, followed by improvements to stairs, shade shelters, and restroom facilities at Conchi. Additional safety upgrades will be made to stairs at Dos Playa, Boca Prins, and Quadirkiri. These projects are expected to be completed by July 2025, with most areas remaining accessible throughout construction.

Through these efforts, ACF continues to demonstrate its commitment to conservation and visitor satisfaction, ensuring that Parke Nacional Arikok remains a safe, welcoming, and enriching destination for all.
