15th Aruba International Regatta Registration Now Open

ORANJESTAD – Sail into action at the 15th Aruba International Regatta, with registration now officially open! The regatta kicks off with an exciting opening event on June 27th, where sailors of all ages are invited to join the fun, enjoy music, snacks, and experience the unique atmosphere of the sailing community. A cash bar will be available, and participants can pick up their goodie bags and bring their sailing gear to the beach.

Volunteer Opportunities

The regatta village, set up on the beach next to Surfside, will be built with the help of volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering, simply write to rik@aruba-regatta.org and be part of the action!

Race Days: June 28th & 29th

Two action-packed days of sailing will take place on Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th, with a range of exciting sailing classes for all skill levels. Spectators passionate about sailing and the marine environment are welcome to cheer on participants.

The competition judges will be flown in from Curacao to ensure a fair and thrilling event.

Race Classes

The regatta features a variety of classes for sailors, each offering a unique challenge and showcasing different skills:

  • Optimist: For young sailors to demonstrate their skills.

  • Qubes: Another class for junior sailors.

  • F11: Racing in fast F11 sailboats.

  • Beachcats: Small, lightweight catamarans designed for speed.

  • Sunfish: Single-handed racing in small, maneuverable sailboats.

  • Laser: Competitive single-handed racing with precise navigation.

  • RaceClass I (Yachts): Racing with larger yachts.

  • Cruising Class (Yachts): Relaxed races for yachts of various sizes.

  • Live Aboard Class (Yachts): For sailors who live aboard their yachts.

  • Multihull (Class): Racing in multi-hulled sailboats known for speed and stability.

  • Kite: Thrilling kiteboarding races combining sailing and surfing.

  • Windsurf: Racing on windsurfing boards at high speeds.

A Focus on Youth Sailing & Marine Conservation

In addition to the thrilling races, the regatta places a strong emphasis on encouraging the sailing youth of the region and raising awareness about the importance of marine conservation. The event serves as a platform for young sailors to showcase their skills, fostering their passion for sailing and promoting a sustainable approach to water sports.

Food, Beverages & Live Music

Along with the exciting races, enjoy delicious food and beverages for both sailors and the public. On Sunday, Happy Hour will be accompanied by live music, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees.
