FPNC Expands Food Support for Children During School Break

The Foundation for Our Community (FPNC) is boosting its family assistance efforts by expanding the contents of its food packages to ensure children receive proper meals while schools are closed for vacation.

“Many children rely on school-provided meals during the year,” explained FPNC Director Gianaika van der Biezen. “Now that schools are on break, we’re making sure they still have lunch at home.”

In addition to food support, the foundation is preparing back-to-school essentials, such as backpacks and agendas. With the new school year approaching, priority needs now include school bags and uniforms.

Families receiving help can choose what kind of support fits them best—whether it’s school fees, uniforms, school supplies, or a mix of all three.

Gianaika encouraged those wanting to give back to reach out to the foundation. “Anyone willing to help can stop by or call us at 588-0002. Our staff is ready to assist.”

FPNC continues to support families across Aruba through targeted aid and community collaboration.
