Training and operational cooperation discussed
Caribbean fire commanders from Aruba, Curacao, Sint Maarten and the Caribbean Netherlands have agreed to strengthen cooperation and develop joint priorities for 2027, English 24ora reports. The CAS-BES meeting took place in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
Bonaire meeting planned for December
Discussions covered instructor and examiner quality, fire safety, incident response and the development of fire-service education. The next commanders’ meeting is scheduled for Bonaire in December 2026, when participants intend to review a joint action list and progress on annual plans. The report says cooperation will take account of the differing needs and capabilities of the participating services.
