The ACTAA board has been formally announced as Aruba’s air-traffic controllers’ association marks International Day of the Air Traffic Controller on October 20, according to a statement published by 24ora.
Donald Arends leads five-member board
The association said the board was elected at its general membership meeting on September 17, 2026. Donald Arends is president, Urwin Lumenier vice-president, Geraldine Laclé-Erasmus secretary, Christine (Kitty) Tromp-Dammers treasurer and Renato Solognier commissioner.
Professional development and aviation cooperation
ACTAA said its priorities include strengthening the association, developing members’ professional skills and cooperating with Aruba’s aviation sector. Established in 1989, the association reports 28 active members.
The association also described its membership in the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers’ Associations as a link to international developments and professional knowledge. The announcement concerns the association’s leadership, not a change in airport operating procedures.
