A Kingdom dispute draft received support from parliamentary delegations from Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten at their October 15 Tripartite meeting in Curaçao, parliamentarian Endy Croes told Diario.
Parliaments face a November 13 deadline
Each delegation must now seek a letter of support from its own parliament, according to Croes’ account published on October 17. The three parliaments agreed that those letters should be ready and submitted by November 13.
Croes said further steps remain, including the proposal’s route back to the Dutch House of Representatives. His account describes approval of the draft by the delegations, not completion of the full parliamentary process.
Working group presented the revised proposal
Croes said Edgard Vrolijk led the Petit Comité with representatives from Curaçao and Sint Maarten to incorporate changes following advice from legal experts and institutions.
The committee presented the final version at the October 15 session in Curaçao’s parliament. Croes connected the meeting with earlier Tripartite and IPKO discussions held in The Hague in June.
