The Hadicurari fishing tournament takes place today, Saturday, August 15, bringing together fishing, food, music and family entertainment on the beach near Hadicurari.
Arthur Giel, president of Fundacion Centro di Pesca Hadicurari, said organizers are ready for the popular annual event.
The tournament is being held in cooperation with Santa Rosa and Aruba Wine & Dine.
Visitors can attend from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., while the prize ceremony is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
A Fish Fry will form part of the day’s activities, with chefs from Aruba Wine & Dine preparing dishes for visitors.
Organizers have also arranged live music, DJ entertainment and a large shaded area where guests can escape the sun.
Shuttle Service Available
Because the Hadicurari parking area and Berea di Piscado road are expected to become crowded, organizers are encouraging visitors to park near Sarah Quita Beach, close to Fisherman’s Huts.
A Kuko Kunuku bus will operate as a shuttle between Sarah Quita Beach and Hadicurari.
The shuttle is expected to run approximately every 15 minutes in both directions.
Organizers hope the transportation arrangement will reduce congestion and make it easier for visitors to attend the event.
The Hadicurari fishing tournament is expected to offer a full day of competition, local food and entertainment for participants and spectators alike.
