ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Funeral Held for Green Corridor Crash Victim Jeanemarc as family, friends, colleagues, and members of Aruba’s transport community gathered to pay their final respects following his tragic death in a traffic accident.
Jeanemarc van der Biezen lost his life on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in a fatal crash on the Green Corridor near Pos Chiquito. He became the eighth traffic fatality in Aruba during 2026, leaving behind two children, family members, and many close friends.
On Saturday afternoon, mourners attended his funeral service before accompanying him on his final journey in a unique funeral procession that reflected his strong connection to the transport industry.
As a respected member of Don’t Panic Transport, Jeanemarc was honored with his casket being transported on a specially decorated lowboy trailer covered with artificial grass and pulled by a tractor unit. The procession was joined by numerous trucks and groups of motorcyclists, many of whom knew and admired him personally.
The tribute demonstrated the deep respect and affection Jeanemarc earned throughout his life, as members of the transport and motorcycle communities united to give him a memorable farewell.
Family, friends, and colleagues remembered him as a well-respected individual whose passing has left a lasting impact on those who knew him. The funeral procession served as a final tribute to his life and the many relationships he built within Aruba’s transport community.
