Antigua and Barbuda is experiencing a record-breaking influx of European travelers, making it the fastest-growing Caribbean destination for that market segment so far in 2025.

According to the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s latest statistical review, the country welcomed 30,608 European visitors in the first three months of the year—marking a 7.7% year-over-year increase compared to early 2024. That growth rate leads the entire Caribbean region in terms of European arrivals.

Surging Popularity in the U.S. Too

In addition to the European boom, Antigua has also witnessed a 12.4% increase in visitors from the United States, further reinforcing its status as a top-tier Caribbean destination for global travelers.

Strategic Expansion and Accessibility

This growth is the result of deliberate efforts by Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism authorities to strengthen ties with the European market. Notably, Germany’s Condor Airlines has expanded service to the destination, enhancing direct connectivity between Europe and the twin-island nation.

A Decade of Momentum

The recent surge is part of a long-term upward trend in Antigua and Barbuda’s tourism, which has steadily grown over the past decade and accelerated post-pandemic. With its pristine beaches, warm climate, and welcoming hospitality, the destination continues to resonate with European holidaymakers seeking tropical getaways.

Antigua and Barbuda’s targeted strategy, improved airlift, and consistent promotion appear to be paying off in a big way — confirming its status as one of the hottest destinations in the Caribbean right now.
