Raquel Lampe Named New Director of UNOCA in Aruba

ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Raquel Lampe Named New Director of UNOCA in Aruba as the Union di Organisacionnan Cultural Arubano (UNOCA) announced that she will officially assume the position on September 1, 2026.

The appointment follows UNOCA’s celebration of its 40th anniversary on June 25, 2026, marking four decades of promoting and supporting arts and culture across Aruba. On June 30, the organization’s board of directors, along with staff from UNOCA and the Scol di Arte, formally welcomed Lampe and expressed their confidence in her leadership as she prepares to guide the organization into its next chapter.

Lampe brings many years of experience in education, culture, and community development. She currently serves as the director of Filomena College MAVO, where she has played an important role in strengthening education, encouraging innovation, and supporting youth development. Beyond her work in education, she is widely recognized for her dedication to Aruba’s cultural sector.

Throughout her career, Lampe has participated in numerous cultural projects, artistic events, and community initiatives. She has also served as a master of ceremonies, project coordinator, and collaborator with various cultural organizations. Her leadership style emphasizes communication, collaboration, and innovation while promoting education, culture, and community well-being.

As the organization responsible for managing Aruba’s Cultural Fund, UNOCA has long supported cultural projects, artists, and creative initiatives across the island. With Raquel Lampe Named New Director of UNOCA in Aruba, the organization looks forward to continuing its mission of strengthening Aruba’s arts, heritage, and cultural development while expanding opportunities for the island’s creative community.
