ORANJESTAD – Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and the Primary Sector, Geoffrey Wever, announced the inaugural San Nicolas Food Festival during a press conference. The festival will take place on July 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Carnival Village, San Nicolas.
The event highlights San Nicolas’ unique culinary heritage, with traditional and international dishes such as Johnny cake, roti, oxtail, pisca hasa, moro, carne mechada, griyo, local pastries, natural juices, and Asian cuisine. Over 29 local businesses, including restaurants and take-away vendors, will participate, with more confirmations pending.
The festival is designed for all ages, featuring live music, ample seating, and a Kids Corner with Dino Jump and recreational activities. Minister Wever emphasized that the festival promotes economic growth, celebrates multicultural heritage, and positions San Nicolas as a destination for culture and cuisine in Aruba. Entry is free.
