On Tuesday afternoon at approximately 7:15 PM, a traffic accident occurred near the FCCA roundabout in Wayaca. A UTV, carrying three occupants, flipped over in the roadway. The incident prompted an immediate response from emergency personnel to address the situation at the site.
Following the overturn, two of the individuals inside the vehicle were able to exit on their own. However, one female passenger remained trapped within the wreckage. The Fire Department was called to the scene to assist with the rescue. Emergency responders utilized a material wagon and had to cut the UTV to free the woman who was stuck inside.
The driver of the UTV walked away from the accident unharmed. An investigation into the crash revealed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. As a result of these findings, the driver was detained by authorities.
