ORANJESTAD (AAN): The Honey Bees Dakota senior group is celebrating its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of regular meetings, friendships, and community activities.
The celebration kicked off with a pleasant breakfast and a walk, with visible joy on the faces of each member. A particularly proud moment occurred when the group united with Bosnians to sing the National Anthem, followed by the Honey Bees’ anthem, symbolizing the strong unity and identity they’ve built over the years.
The event was attended by Minister Wyatt-Ras, who took the opportunity to personally congratulate the Honey Bees group on their milestone anniversary. Over the years, Honey Bees has created a regular space for older adults to gather, share, maintain social activities, and strengthen friendships. These initiatives significantly contribute to the emotional well-being and quality of life of older adults.
The Ministry of Health, Social Affairs, Elderly Care, and Addiction Management acknowledges the value of the Honey Bees community group, which fosters active participation and social inclusion.
“Our senior citizens are an essential part of our community. The Honey Bees initiative demonstrates, through unity, care, and social activity, the significant difference it makes in the lives of our senior citizens,” stated Minister Wyatt-Ras.
With this celebration, the Ministry reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the quality of life for older adults remains a priority in Aruba, acknowledging the positive impact that such organizations have on the community. On behalf of the Ministry, the Honey Bees Dakota group is congratulated on their 10 years of dedication, with best wishes for future success.
