ORANJESTAD (AAN): As is tradition in all events within the Olympic cycle, each competition begins with an افتتاحing Ceremony where participating delegations present themselves to the host country and officially mark the start of the games.

Each delegation is led by athletes carrying their national flag. Typically, one male and one female athlete are selected for this important role.

For Team Aruba, the delegation will be proudly represented by athletes Xia Rodriguez and Ocean van Loon, who have been chosen to carry the Aruba flag during the Opening Ceremony of Panama 2026. This is a significant and proud moment, as they will represent Aruba in front of a large international audience.
