A pickup truck hit and run in Santa Helenastraat was reported on Friday afternoon near Xavier University, after a speeding driver caused an elderly woman to panic and then fled the scene.
Police were sent to Santa Helenastraat after receiving a report of the accident. When officers arrived, they learned that the driver of a pickup truck had been traveling at high speed in the area.
According to the report, the speeding pickup truck frightened an elderly woman and then crashed into a barrier sign that indicates traffic direction. After causing the accident, the pickup truck continued driving and left the area without stopping.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the pickup truck hit and run in Santa Helenastraat. Even so, the incident caused concern because the driver reportedly left the scene after hitting the barrier.
