ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Geoffrey Wever Guest Lecture UA was delivered this week as Minister Geoffrey Wever gave a special Constitutional Law session to students of the Faculty of Law at the University of Aruba.
The Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector shared both theoretical foundations and practical government experience related to Constitutional Law, which governs the structure of the state, the relationship between Parliament and Government, and the position of citizens within the democratic system.
Before entering politics, Minister Wever worked as a Scientific Researcher in Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Aruba. His academic background combined with his ministerial experience provided students with a unique perspective on how constitutional law functions in practice.
Minister Wever emphasized that education and youth development are essential to strengthening the rule of law in Aruba. He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to the formation of future legal professionals.
