Asambeho ta un legado musical that continues into the future, as demonstrated during Carnaval 2026 in Aruba.

Carnival represents joy, color, and movement, but for Aruba it also symbolizes memory, identity, and legacy. The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) remains firm in its belief that culture is not merely decoration or something secondary, but an essential pillar of the community and of Aruba’s position as a destination.

The participation of Asambeho Kids Aruba and Massive Brassband International during Carnaval 2026 forms part of a broader vision to keep Aruba’s musical traditions alive and relevant, while preparing the next generation to carry their heritage forward with pride. This meaningful initiative was developed in collaboration with Fundacion Go Cultura.

Visit Aruba

Through Massive Brassband International, for the first time in Carnival history, the sound of Asambeho was combined on Aruba’s streets with steelpan, bass, and choir, creating a musical experience never heard before.

The public’s reaction confirmed its success, with energy, surprise, and enthusiasm felt along the entire parade route. This was not a break from tradition, but a natural evolution. It demonstrated that Aruba’s music can honor its roots while continuing to grow, innovate, and connect with a new generation.

From the uniforms to the visual presentation, from musical discipline to the vibrant energy on the streets, Asambeho tells a story — a story of roots, education, and future. The fact that both children and adults participated together in the project confirms that culture does not end; it continues when space is created for it to flourish.

Carnaval 2026 shows that Aruba not only celebrates its culture, but also protects, honors, and proudly projects it to both its own people and the world. The Aruba Tourism Authority continues to intentionally invest in evolving and strengthening Aruba’s culture for the present and the future.
