The court has sentenced two men to eight years in prison for Planned murder in Aruba, following a major police operation in Pos Chiquito in September 2025.
The suspects, identified as S.R. and R.d C., were found guilty of preparing to commit a killing. During the arrest operation, police confiscated multiple firearms and 65 rounds of live ammunition from a vehicle in which the two men were traveling. Both were wearing black clothing and masks, raising serious concerns about imminent violent intent.
The judge ruled that evidence, including videos and statements made by S.R., clearly showed plans to use the weapons to kill enemies. Due to their close cooperation, both men were convicted as accomplices in the preparation of murder. Their criminal histories, including prior convictions for violence, weapons possession, and attempted murder, weighed heavily in sentencing.
A third suspect, A.T., was convicted of illegal firearm possession and sentenced to 18 months in prison, with six months suspended under probation.
All confiscated firearms and ammunition will be destroyed.
