The National Dande Parade, organized by Edjean Semeleer, officially kicked off on Sunday, spreading joy and traditional Aruban music across the island. The festive initiative features a Dande group traveling on a trailer equipped with speakers, visiting various neighborhoods and public spaces to celebrate the holiday season.

On the first day, the parade visited Bushiri Complex, the Frans Figaroa Sports Center, the High-Rise hotel area, and made a stop near the Pope John Paul II Chapel in Tanki Leendert.

On Monday, the parade continued its route through Mabon Kavel, Carnival Village & Entertainment Center, Mauchi’s Smoothies in Savaneta, the parking lot of Club Estrella, and concluded at the Paradera roundabout.

The parade continues today, Tuesday, with scheduled stops at Queen Beatrix International Airport at 4:00 PM, the Dakota Community and Sports Center at 6:00 PM, Madiki Kavel at 7:00 PM, and Irausquin Plein in front of the Setar branch at 8:00 PM.

This cultural initiative has been made possible through financial support from Aruba Tourism Authority, Unoca Aruba, Queen Beatrix International Airport, Setar N.V., the Representation of the Netherlands in Oranjestad (VNO), the Aruba Department of Culture, and Click Print Aruba.

Prime Minister Mike Eman joined the celebration during the first day in Bushiri, where Dande songs were performed for both children and adults. Organizers expressed pride in supporting and preserving Aruba’s cultural heritage, emphasizing that Dande reflects the island’s identity, music, and strong sense of community.

Best wishes were extended to the organizers, musicians, and participants as the National Dande Parade continues its island-wide celebration.
