Last Friday evening, Centro di Bario Noord proudly hosted the official presentation of the “LET’S ACT Aruba” showcase, celebrating the dedication, talent, and growth of all participants. After months of intensive training, students took the stage during a vibrant cultural gala to present performances in Theater, Singing, Cuarta, and Folklore—highlighting the成果 of their hard work and preparation.
“LET’S ACT Aruba” is a socio-cultural initiative created through an innovative collaboration between Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie (FCP) and CEDE Aruba, aimed at strengthening cultural participation within the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. The program provides children and youth with opportunities to develop talent, creativity, and personal expression through structured guidance, mentorship, and consistent practice. It nurtures confidence, discipline, and artistic capability among young people in the community.
The evening was made even more special by the celebration of Sinterklaas’ birthday on December 5th. Sinterklaas, accompanied by his Piets, visited Centro di Bario Noord to greet the many children in attendance. Mama Claus also joined the festivities, adding joy and warmth to the event. The audience enjoyed a heartfelt dramatization of the birth of Baby Jesus.
Centro di Bario Noord expressed deep gratitude to Meneer Rocky and Erwin for their dedication, patience, and passion in teaching and guiding the children. Their contributions are essential to nurturing ongoing talent development in the neighborhood. Appreciation was also extended to all parents, mentors, and supporters who continue to place their trust in the center.
A special thank-you went to Pittbull Singing Production, led by Ruth Gaarie, for their beautiful performance. Additional recognition was given to Jermaine Acosta, Madelene Kelly, and their cast for the dramatization of the Nativity story.
A kind gesture from Elmar brought added excitement to the children, who received Chispito storybooks, savings piggy banks to encourage financial habits, and themed coloring books—items that contribute positively to creativity and personal development. Centro di Bario Noord also thanked Sharp Productions & Entertainment for sponsoring the event’s audio setup and Elmar for their giveaway items.
The evening served as a testament to what community, culture, and unity can accomplish together. Centro di Bario Noord remains committed to its mission of supporting the spiritual, social, cultural, and athletic development of the beautiful community of Noord.
