Late Monday night, the Aruba Police Central Unit dispatched multiple patrols urgently to the Social Housing Complex in Sero Patrishi after receiving several calls reporting a large fight that was quickly escalating.
Within minutes, four police units from Playa arrived at the scene and were able to restore calm in the area. Officers noticed that a vehicle nearby had been damaged as a result of the confrontation.
According to witnesses, the altercation began when an individual—believed to be under the influence of an unidentified substance—walked down the street and said something provoking. Another person responded, smashed the window of the vehicle, and then climbed onto the individual inside the car, assaulting and mistreating them.
Broken glass was scattered across the road, likely from the damaged vehicle. Police succeeded in bringing the situation under control, allowing the rest of the night to continue peacefully.
