Caya Grandi Merchants Support the Ban Bek Caya Initiative

Ahead of the upcoming “Ban Bek Caya – Black Friday Edition,” taking place on Friday, November 28, several merchants along Caya Betico Croes were approached to ensure everything is ready for the big shopping event.

Merchants confirmed that they are fully prepared, with Black Friday discounts and exclusive offers set to welcome shoppers to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Ban Bek Caya.

According to Joanette Vrutaal of Grupo Bennu—operator of Zara, Parfois, Mango, and Aldo—there has been a positive trend since the end of last year, with more businesses eager to return to Caya Grandi. This growing interest is expected to bring more variety and attractive offers, drawing even more customers to the area.

Fadi Nice of Polo Club expressed strong confidence that Caya Grandi will flourish once again but reminded everyone that opening a business in Caya Grandi requires investment. For this reason, they continue investing and offering support alongside other merchants to revive commercial activity in the street.

Consumer behavior has changed compared to years past, when shoppers visited Caya Grandi mainly for clothing or household goods. Today, customers look for a complete experience—including shopping, entertainment, and culinary offerings. Marksonn Maduro of Hoya and Apotek compared Caya Grandi to the hotel district, noting that Ban Bek Caya creates a valuable opportunity to revitalize commerce in the area.

Finally, Amit Rawat, owner of Tilted, stated: “If you have the right product, it doesn’t matter where you are—the customers will find you.
