The leadership and teachers of Abraham de Veerschool MAVO Aruba, joined by Sr. Clay Shipley (Public Schools Department, DPS) and Sr. Clyde Lie-Kwie (School Inspection), surprised Vice Principal Juffrouw Jeanette Hooker with a celebration at Rum Reef to mark her 25 years of service in Aruba’s education system.
Known for always being “in the know,” Hooker was genuinely stunned when what she thought was a simple outing with her child turned into a room full of colleagues ready to celebrate her milestone. Head of School Jane Bueno-Hooft also attended to offer congratulations. Speakers thanked Hooker for her constant willingness to listen and for her positive guidance to staff and students alike. The evening concluded with a special gift and plenty of good cheer.
