After a full day of meetings on Friday, the Aruba Workers’ Union (STA) and Aruba Airport Authority (AAA) reached an agreement addressing union members’ concerns, STA representative Diego de Cuba said.

Union delegates met with AAA management to discuss operational issues and employee dissatisfaction. “The meeting was held in a positive atmosphere. Interim director James Fazio understood our concerns and immediately offered solutions,” de Cuba noted.

With those solutions in place, the STA is pausing its planned weekend action while remaining issues are finalized. Both parties will revisit the matter in a follow-up meeting scheduled for August 24.
