Aruba Airport Welcomes New Frontier Airlines Route from Atlanta, Strengthening U.S. Connectivity

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is excited to announce the launch of a new seasonal nonstop route by Frontier Airlines, connecting Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) with Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA). The service will begin on May 24, 2025, operating once weekly on Saturdays through August 16, 2025—perfectly timed to support Aruba’s high-demand summer travel season.

While Frontier Airlines has served Aruba previously, this marks its first direct connection from Atlanta, expanding the airline’s footprint and deepening Aruba’s ties to key U.S. leisure markets. With this launch, Frontier becomes the 29th airline to operate at AUA.

The route will be flown with an Airbus A321, offering 230 additional weekly seats between Atlanta and Aruba. The new service complements Delta Air Lines’ existing twice-daily ATL–AUA flights, giving travelers greater flexibility and contributing to increased overall capacity on this popular route.

Expanding Aruba’s Reach Across the U.S.

In addition to the new Atlanta service, Frontier’s broader U.S. network includes convenient connections from cities like New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Cleveland—further enhancing Aruba’s accessibility for U.S. travelers and supporting the sustainability of long-haul tourism.

Key Market Highlights:

  • In 2024, Aruba Airport welcomed 1.11 million U.S. revenue-generating passengers, with 7% coming from Atlanta.
  • As of March 2025, 9% of U.S. traffic to Aruba originated from the Atlanta market.
  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the busiest airport in the U.S. and a critical hub for the Southeastern U.S., making it a strategic addition to Aruba’s air service network.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Frontier’s new route from Atlanta—one of the most important air travel hubs in the United States,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at Aruba Airport Authority. “This launch enhances connectivity, adds capacity, and affirms the strong interest from U.S. carriers in expanding their presence in Aruba. With 16 U.S. nonstop routes now available, Aruba continues to be a top choice for travelers.”

This latest expansion reinforces Aruba’s position as a premier Caribbean destination, offering seamless access for American vacationers seeking sun, sea, and vibrant culture.
