The Aruba Youth Library (Biblioteca Hubenil) has received a special new book designed for children, focusing on important themes such as Aruba’s formation, flora and fauna, history, people, industries, culture, tourism, and sustainability.
The book, titled A.C.P. for Children, was produced by the Aruba Excellence Foundation team — Giovanni de Windt, Melissa Robert, Susana Romero, and Sharenda Clarinda — with illustrations by Yohandy Larmonie. It is an engaging educational project that helps children learn about the island’s natural and cultural heritage in a fun and informative way.
This week, Giovanni de Windt and Melissa Robert are giving presentations on Aruba’s flora, fauna, and related topics at local schools as part of the Children’s Book Festival 2025. The goal is to educate and inspire young readers across Aruba with essential knowledge about their island.
The project was made possible through a partnership between the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), National Archaeological Museum of Aruba (MANA), Aruba Conservation Foundation (ACF), and National Archives of Aruba (ANA).
The Aruba Excellence Foundation, established by the Aruba Tourism Authority in 2018, is responsible for implementing the Aruba Certification Program (A.C.P.). Its mission is to promote and develop training programs that provide accurate and consistent information about Aruba’s history, culture, and identity.
