The ballroom at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino was transformed into a vibrant hub of excitement and anticipation during the resort’s annual Q4 celebration—an event dedicated to reflecting on the final quarter of the year together with colleagues and management.
Tessely Koolman, Director of Human Resources, warmly welcomed everyone as the doors opened at 2:00 p.m., setting the tone for an evening filled with appreciation, celebration, and reflection. The theme of the gathering highlighted the impressive renovations shaping the future of the hotel.
General Manager Joe Najjar took the stage to introduce the resort’s new Assistant General Manager, Lillian Britten, whose inspiring words resonated across the room, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter for the team. The excitement continued as Joe presented long-awaited renovation updates, with staff paying close attention to details about Phase 2B and the hotel’s vision for 2026. A fun raffle followed—where one lucky employee earned the honor of officially opening the newly renovated main pool.
The Human Resources Department—Tessely Koolman (HR Director), Sudi Guda (HR Manager), Carine Cratz (HR Assistant), and Kisairis Gomez (HR Agent)—shared highlights from the many celebrations and initiatives held throughout 2025, while also offering a preview of what’s ahead.
Energy soared as the resort unveiled its 35th anniversary logo along with a special jingle, leading into a lively musical presentation by Gareth Rosa and Mathilde Benito, who had everyone singing and dancing.
But the surprises didn’t end there. Tessely returned to announce a special guest—Ataniro—who will help entertain the staff at the upcoming Christmas celebration and 35th anniversary festivities. Additional raffles included exciting prizes such as cash rewards and tickets to attend next week’s concert by Juan Luis Guerra.
The atmosphere of gratitude and celebration continued as employees joined a trivia activity that tested their knowledge of the company’s values, achievements, and the technical steps involved in reopening the renovated pool—such as applying Diamond Brite, filling the pool, and activating the pumps.
To conclude the event, the HR Department expressed heartfelt appreciation to all employees for their continued dedication to the resort’s success. The celebration ended on a high note with the anniversary jingle echoing through the ballroom—more than just a staff gathering, it was a tribute to progress, unity, and the promise of even greater accomplishments ahead.
