Starting in 2026, all employees of Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba will transition to a five-day workweek—while keeping their current salaries and gaining even better benefits.

Starting in 2026, all employees of Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba will transition to a five-day workweek—while keeping their current salaries and gaining even better benefits.

This major announcement was shared during a press conference held at the Renaissance Marina Hotel Boardroom in Oranjestad.

More than 1,100 employees across Renaissance Marina Hotel, Renaissance Ocean Resort, The Mall, Marketplace Mall, Crystal Casino, Seaport Casino, Starbucks (three branches), and Five O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Chill will benefit from this change.

According to Barbara Bronswinkel, Director of Human Resources, beginning January 1, 2026, all staff will officially move to a 40-hour, five-day workweek. Currently, most employees work six days a week, making this shift a significant improvement in work-life balance.
Bronswinkel emphasized that employees will retain their base salaries, and the company will re-evaluate all additional benefits to make compensation even more attractive.

Employees will now enjoy two days off per week, and their annual vacation days will increase. Many staff members currently receive 16 vacation days per year, which will rise to 19 days in 2026. Vacation days will continue to grow yearly, eventually reaching a maximum of 23 days.

Wind Creek Aruba is also expanding family-friendly benefits. In addition to standard maternity leave, new fathers will now receive two weeks of paternity leave, enabling them to support mothers and newborns during the early days after birth.

The resort group also announced that they currently have around 90 job openings across departments such as Casino, Security, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and more. All vacancies are listed on the Wind Creek Aruba Careers Facebook page.
