Rotary Club Aruba Installs the World’s First Underwater Peace Pole at Tres Trapi

In a symbolic act blending environmental awareness with a universal message of peace, Rotary Club Aruba has installed the world’s first underwater Peace Pole at Tres Trapi, one of the island’s most iconic natural sites.

Peace Poles are part of a global initiative supported by Rotary International, bearing the universal message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in multiple languages. With more than 250,000 Peace Poles already placed worldwide, Aruba now makes history as the first country to place one beneath the sea.

Leading up to the International Day of Peace on September 21, the installation serves as a reminder—to residents and visitors alike—that peace begins with each of us and extends to our stewardship of the environment.
