The first day of the Interpaso 2025 horse competition took place on Saturday, October 4, at Villa Floralina, bringing together riders and horses from across Aruba for an exciting showcase of skill and elegance.

The OCA (Organización Caballista Arubano) expressed satisfaction at seeing many new horses enter the arena, along with familiar competitors making their return after a period of absence.

In the Paseo and Castrado categories, mares Bienvenida and Chiquinquira, both with new riders, took home the titles for Best Mare. Hercules, owned by Alfred Lacle, made a successful debut and was named Best Castrated Horse in the Trocha category. In the Paso Fino event, Rasputin triumphed over Rescate to claim the Best Castrated Horse title.

Vendaval once again proved unstoppable, earning the Grand Champion title in the Trocha category — his third championship of the year since arriving in Aruba. In the Trote y Galope division, Conquistador was awarded Grand Champion after an impressive performance.

In the Paso Fino youth competition, Sortija de Deo Volente, owned by Lea Vink, made a strong debut, winning Best Young Mare in Process. Another standout was Sol Radiante de Las Piedras, who won the Youth Championship riding Zafiro Azul.

The Grand Championship for Mares saw intense competition between Florentina, Babilonia, Polvora, Nina Bonita, and Electra. Ultimately, Candela de Villa Floralina and the Rancho Las Piedras horses—Miss Aruba, Polvora, and Babilonia—dominated the finals. Rancho Las Piedras captured the top honors, winning Grand Champion Mare, Reserve Champion, and First Finalist.

Among the stallions, a thrilling rematch took place between Sixto III from Rancho Las Piedras and Secreto de Magico from the De Cuba family. This time, Secreto de Magico reclaimed his crown as Grand Champion Stallion, while Sixto III earned the Reserve Champion title.

The event concluded with congratulations to all ranches and riders for their outstanding performances, marking another memorable edition of Aruba’s prestigious Interpaso competition.
