Kathleen Ruiz-Paskel, Director of Dimas (Department of Integration, Management, and Admission of Foreigners), shared updates on the department’s efforts to connect registered job seekers with employers in Aruba.
Ruiz-Paskel explained that many individuals registered under the “Trayecto Cuatro” program have yet to secure employers willing to sign their contracts. The next step, she said, is to match these qualified and willing workers with local employers facing staff shortages.
According to Dimas data, the four most in-demand positions include:
- Domestic workers (elderly care, childcare, and housekeeping)
- Cleaning staff (for hotels, Airbnb, etc.)
- Construction workers
- Kitchen staff (chefs, assistants, and related roles)
Ruiz-Paskel noted that Trayecto Cuatro will conclude in December, and the department hopes to successfully link more job seekers with potential employers before then. Local residents looking for employment will continue to receive priority.
